Can I change my stair rod measurements after I have placed my order?
Unfortunately, because all of our stair rods are made to your individual specifications, we are unable to accept changes or cancellations after you have placed your order. We recommend that you read our guide to Taking The Correct Measurements before you place your order. Or contact us for advice if you are at all unsure.
Can stair rods be used to fit my stair carpet?
With the exception of StarGrip rods, stair rods are entirely aesthetic and are not recommended for fitting stair carpets or runners. For your own safety, it is essential that your carpet is installed by other means. Fitting your carpet correctly increases its lifespan and improves the safety of your stair case.
Can I fit stair rods on spiral stairs?
Yes, stair rods can enhance the appearance of both traditional and contemporary spiral stair cases. We would advise you to have your stair carpet or runner fitted by a professional first then follow our guide to Taking The Correct Measurements before you place your order for stair rods.
How do I clean my stair rods?
Please DO NOT POLISH your stair rods. All of our stair rods have been lacquered to prevent tarnishing. Using polish or metal cleaning products may damage the lacquer and adversely affect the appearance of your stair rods. All you need to do is simply wipe your stair rods with a damp cloth from time to time to keep them looking at their best with the minimum of effort.

Anti-slip underlay is ideal for rugs and hall runners on flat surfaces and our sister site, Rugs Direct , can provide this as well as specialist underlay for rugs which sit on top of carpets.
Where can I find a hall runner or rug to co-ordinate with my stair runner?
There are very many vendors of hall runners and rugs but we recommend our sister site Rugs Direct for the most comprehensive online range, unequalled knowledge and experience and exemplary service.
