Can I change my stair rod measurements after I have placed my order?

Unfortunately, because all of our stair rods are made to your individual specifications, we are unable to accept changes or cancellations after you have placed your order. We recommend that you read our guide toTaking The Correct Measurements before you place your order. Or contact us for advice if you are at all unsure.

Can stair rods be used to fit my stair carpet?

Stair rods are entirely aesthetic and are not recommended for fitting stair carpets or runners. For your own safety, it is essential that your carpet is installed by other means. Fitting your carpet correctly increases its lifespan and improves the safety of your staircase.

Can I fit stair rods on spiral stairs?

Yes, stair rods can enhance the appearance of both traditional and contemporary spiral stair cases. We would advise you to have your stair carpet or runner fitted by a professional first then follow our guide to Taking The Correct Measurements before you place your order for stair rods.

How do I clean my stair rods?

Please DO NOT POLISH your stair rods. All of our stair rods have been lacquered to prevent tarnishing. Using polish or metal cleaning products may damage the lacquer and adversely affect the appearance of your stair rods. All you need to do is simply wipe your stair rods with a damp cloth from time to time to keep them looking at their best with the minimum of effort.

Can you send me samples before I order?

You can order a sample stair rod and/or single bracket or a door threshold at a cost of £3.00 (upto Three), click the BUY SAMPLE option as you go through the website.

Should I use anti-slip underlay when fitting my stair runner?

No, for your safety we recommend that you use conventional carpet underlay to fit your Stair Runner. You can buy this at any reputable carpet retailer or DIY store. Anti-slip underlay is ideal for rugs andhallrunners onflat surfacesand our sister site, Rugs Direct, can provide this as well as specialist underlay for rugs which sit on top of carpets.
