Premier T Bars Antique Bronze door threshold strips provide a clean and seamless way to cover gaps between hard flooring surfaces such as stone and tiles. With their rich antique bronze finish and slim, minimalist profile, these door bars create a sophisticated transition that enhances both traditional and contemporary interiors.
The Premier T Bar door threshold is designed specifically for joining two hard floors of equal height, delivering a neat and professional finish. Its distinctive ‘T’ shaped profile fits neatly into the gap between flooring materials, concealing rough edges and ensuring a smooth transition between rooms.
Finished in an elegant antique bronze, this door threshold strip introduces a deeper, more characterful tone compared to lighter metals, making it ideal for adding warmth and contrast to your flooring. Whether used in kitchens, hallways, or open-plan living spaces, it provides a refined finishing touch that balances practicality with style.
Important:
This door threshold strip is designed for hard floor to hard floor applications only. It is not suitable for carpets or floating floors (including laminate, engineered wood, or certain vinyl flooring that requires expansion).
Premier T Bar door thresholds are compatible with:

To get the correct size door threshold strip, measure the width of your doorway or flooring gap and allow a little extra so you can trim the door bar for a precise fit.
When selecting the width, consider how much of the gap needs to be covered. The 14mm option offers a more discreet, minimalist finish, while the 25mm option provides greater coverage for wider joins.
As T Bars are designed for level surfaces, ensure both flooring types sit at the same height to achieve a smooth, flush finish.
Installing a T Bar door threshold strip is a straightforward process:

To remove an existing door threshold, start by identifying how it has been fixed in place. Most door thresholds are secured using either screws, nails, or adhesive.
If the threshold is fixed with screws, use the correct screwdriver to carefully remove them. If the screws are difficult to turn or stuck in place, gently tap the screw heads with a hammer to help loosen them before attempting to unscrew them again.
For thresholds secured with nails, use a claw hammer or pry bar to carefully lift and remove them. Work slowly and evenly along the length of the door bar to avoid damaging the surrounding flooring.
If the door threshold strip has been installed using adhesive (as is common with T Bars), run a utility knife carefully along the edges and underneath the threshold to break the bond. Once loosened, gently lift the threshold away from the gap.
Take extra care during removal to avoid chipping tiles or damaging adjoining hard flooring surfaces. If any adhesive residue remains, clean it away thoroughly before installing your new door threshold strip.
As this door threshold is unlacquered, it will naturally develop a patina over time, enhancing the depth and character of the antique bronze finish.
