The Aluminium Single 9 is designed to join carpet to thinner floor coverings such as vinyl, luxury vinyl flooring, Amtico and bare floorboards. Its rounded profile slopes gently from the carpet pile down to the adjoining floor, creating a smooth and secure transition.
Suitable for most carpets that compress to approximately 9mm thick, the profile is intended for use where both base floors are level. Once installed, it provides a discreet join while helping to hold the carpet edge firmly in place.
Manufactured from aluminium, the Single 9 is available in a choice of nine finishes and supplied in 900mm and 1800mm lengths. The profile can be cut to size to suit individual doorways and flooring transitions. For thinner carpets, the Single 4 may be more appropriate, while thicker carpets may require the Single 13 profile.

How to Install the Aluminium Single 9
Measure the doorway or flooring transition and cut the profile to the required length using a hacksaw.
Position the threshold between the carpet and adjoining floor covering.
Secure the profile using a suitable adhesive, screws or nails.
Avoid fixing in areas where underfloor heating may be present.
Ensure the carpet underlay stops short of the threshold.
Fit the carpet into position.
Once installed, the threshold can be gently napped down using a carpeted wood block. This can help improve the grip on the carpet and may reduce the finished height by approximately 3mm.
