The Ali Tramline Transition is a door threshold designed for joining vinyl flooring and other hard floor coverings where both surfaces are level. Suitable for use across doorways and room openings, it helps create a clean transition while protecting the cut edges of the flooring from wear.
The profile is compatible with a wide range of flooring types, including LVT, LVP, dry-back vinyl, click vinyl, floating vinyl, WPC and SPC flooring. It can also be used with other non-porous, level floating and non-floating floors.
Manufactured from high-grade aluminium, the Ali Tramline Transition is available in polished brass, antique brass, chrome and black finishes. It is supplied in 1800mm lengths and can be cut to suit individual installations.
This profile should only be used where both floor surfaces are level. Where there is a height difference between floor coverings, the Ali Tramline Reducer may be more suitable.

How to Install the Ali Tramline Transition
For the 1mm Recess Option
Carefully peel away the decorative surface layer from your WPC or SPC flooring.
Measure and cut the insert to the required size.
Fix the insert into the recessed channel using the pre-attached contact tape.
Position the threshold over the flooring join.
Secure the profile using the adhesive strip on the underside.
For the 3mm Recess Option
Measure and cut a section of LVT flooring to fit the recessed channel.
Fix the flooring insert into place using the pre-attached contact tape.
Position the threshold across the flooring join.
Secure the profile using the adhesive strip on the underside.
The 3mm and 5mm options allow up to 16mm expansion of the flooring - the red line shows the off-set adhesive on the underside.
Offset adhesive tape for sticking to the floor and sticking the inlay in place.
