Measure your doorway width and choose a threshold length slightly longer — you can trim it for a precise fit. For width, consider both the join and the floor coverings:
- 30mm – Suitable for flat joins, thin flooring, or vinyl
- 38mm – Ideal for most flooring combinations, including fitted carpets
- 55mm – Best for wider joins or when fitting over underlay and gripper rods
Tip: If using with carpet, make sure the width is sufficient to cover both the carpet and the gripper strip beneath.
Installation Instructions
Installing this bar is simple and beginner-friendly. You'll need:
- Tape measure
- Fine-toothed hacksaw
- Drill and screwdriver
- Pencil
Fitting Steps:
- Measure and mark the required length
- Cut the bar cleanly with a hacksaw
- Position the bar over the join and check the fit
- Mark fixing holes through the bar
- Drill pilot holes (avoid underfloor heating)
- Screw the bar down firmly
- Clean the inlay channel and press in the adhesive strip to conceal the fixings
When joining two hard floors, allow a 12mm gap between the materials to accommodate the underside channel.
